SCHOOL OF CHEMICAL SCIENCES
The School of Chemical Sciences brings together the Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry, with its undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes connecting chemical principles with the molecular processes of living systems. Within the school, the Department of Biochemistry - established in 2020 - offers B.Sc. combinations involving Biochemistry and an M.Sc. in Biochemistry, connecting chemistry with the study of biological molecules and processes. Additionally, the Department of Chemistry - established in 1927 - offers undergraduate Chemistry programmes, M.Sc. programmes in Organic Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry. The Department of Chemistry (Estd. in 1926), is celebrating its Centenary year.
